Disease-modifying drugs (DMDs) can help improve the quality of life for those living with MS. DMDs can:
Slow the progressive loss of ability common in MS
Reduce the number and severity of relapses
Reduce the number and/or size of lesions on MRI scans
Not all DMDs are the same. Each person responds to DMDs differently—each are unique in safety, efficacy and route of administration. Talk to your neurologist or MS nurse to see which medication is right for you.
*The exact relationship between MRI findings and the clinical status of patients is unknown.
